9 Ministerial Posts are Vacant
In fact, nine ministerial posts are vacant in the Ashok Gehlot cabinet. At present, there are 21 members in the cabinet including CM Gehlot. Considering the number of members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, nine more ministers are yet to be made. The total number of members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is 200. According to the rules, 15 percent of the total members can be included in the cabinet.
State in-charge Ajay Maken
The Congress and independent MLAs had also started lobbying till Delhi regarding the claim of ministerial post due to speculations going on for several months regarding cabinet expansion. At the same time, recently, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Ajay Maken had also indicated that there will be an expansion in the cabinet soon.
