The second part of the famous Hindi series ‘Mirzapur’ of Amazon Prime Video was released last year. After the release of the series, there was a lot of ruckus about it. The Supreme Court heard the public interest litigation filed against the web series Mirzapur today. After which the Supreme Court has issued a notice against the director of the series, OTT Platform, and the Central Government.
Recently in Mirzapur, UP, an FIR was registered against the web series Mirzapur. Mirzapur has also been accused of hurting religious sentiments like Tandav. It is being said that in this series anti-religion content has been served to the audience. On the lines of this case, on Wednesday, a team of Mirzapur Police has left for Mumbai, and soon people associated with the series will be questioned.
According to the information, a three-member team of the countryside police station has left for Mumbai. In the countryside Kotwali, a case was filed against the Mirzapur web series on the complaint of journalist Arvind Chaturvedi.
Earlier when this series was released, Anupriya Patel, MP of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, demanded censorship of it. He said that Mirzapur’s image is getting tarnished through the series. The image of the city is shown wrong by the makers. Anupriya had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban the Mirzapur series.
Anupriya Patel wrote in her tweet – “Mirzapur is developing under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Honorable Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji. It is the center of harmony. It is being maligned as a violent area through a web series called Mirzapur. Ethnic disharmony is also being spread through this series. As MP of Mirzapur district, my demand is that it should be investigated and the action should be taken against it. ”
