  • Choose a venue that offers a combo deal, an all-inclusive package consisting of food plus venue. You can easily get a 3 or 4-star hotel lawn or a banquet hall in any of the good cities in India with a budget of ₹ 700 per plate.
  • Check online websites that offer deals on venue + food packages. Picking up these combo offers helps you save a lot.
  • If you are not able to get combo deals, you can look at other options like.
  • Hire cooks and provide them with the supplies. 
  • Hire professional caterers.
  • Outsource the entire menu to a restaurant.

2. Photography/Videography

Budget: ₹ 1 Lakh

  • You’ll find quite a few good wedding photographers in this budget. Try to keep candid photos and videos. Candid photos and videos cover the most important people and the important bits of the wedding
  • Go for traditional photos and videos only if your budget allows. You may want to take traditional photos during the reception where the guests get the opportunity to pose with the newly wedded couple.

  • Decorators can charge you through the roof if you allow them. Negotiate with them and squeeze as much as possible from them. 
  • You can also work with tons of Pinterest-worthy DIY decorating ideas that can save some cash. 
  • Use Pom-Pom accessories; they are cute, colourful and cheap too. 
  • Choose the right flowers for your décor according to your budget. Seasonal blooms are cheaper. Choosing marigold vs. roses is a good budget choice.

  • Hire a local DJ or ask a friend to be the DJ
